Aditi: A Festival of Life

Aditi: A Festival of Life of the Arts in India was one of the most influential exhibitions for me. Over the course of two and a half months, we replicated an entire Indian mud village than spanned six galleries. Artists and other craftspeople from India set up studio in the museum for the duration of the exhibition, sculpting 8 ft high ceramic donkeys, walking above your head on a tightrope, even juggling machetes while stringing beads in their mouth. The beads would slowly slide down a piece of string, from their mouth, on bubbles of saliva. The show contained more than 3000 objects than spanned over a thousand years.
