Opening a new Museum

For the Taubman Museum, we put forth a strategy to reinvent a 50-year old organization to one befitting of architect Randall Stout’s stunning design. This image is one of nine galleries of various sizes and points of focus. Four of the galleries offer temporary exhibitions, often playing off of one another, making the connections between old and new, just like the building itself. The 81,000 sq foot museum also featured a regional art space, an interactive gallery called MediaLab, and a art learning lab created by an acclaimed team of artists, architects, educators, and media technicians, pulled together especially for the project.
